Concept - “Social Statu(e)s”
Create a campaign for Virgil Abloh Securities featuring an exclusive capsule collection by “Off-White™” for Nordstrom’s New Concepts 018. We partnered with the Brooklyn Museum as our location, tying together their newly opened Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech” exhibit.
I named the concept “Social Statu(e)s”. An obvious play on the term “social status”. The idea was our models would pose like statues in the museum on custom designed plinths by Whitney and I. The plinths would feature a color palette inspired by the capsule collection with a gradient fading into plywood. An unexpected medium (wood instead of stone) for a plinth—aligning with Virgil’s design philosophy by blending old world with new.
This would then be juxtaposed against our talent (real life skateboarders) skating inside the museum pulling together Virgil’s love of fashion, skating and architecture into one singular (and somewhat rebellious) action.

“A first—we were able to skate inside the Brooklyn Museum. The visual alone was incredible no doubt, but it was the sound that moved the entire crew. The of skateboards reverberating throughout the walls of a historic atrium created an incredibly serene atmospheric sound. It had to be a featured element within the video.”
