Alialujah Choir - “A House, A Home” featuring Portland Cello Project
When Adam Shearer from the band Weinland was approached to write a song for a benefit album he chose to write about James C Hawthorne, a 19th century Portland, Oregon physician who is remembered most for medical reform and his kindness to patients. Shearer enlisted the help of Adam Selzer (Norfolk & Western) and they wrote A House, A Home, a song that led to the formation of the band Alialujah Choir. This video begins at the last lines of A House, A Home and is about a love, a death, and another death that are reconciled in a subterranean world.
